The AMEC Mineral Exploration Insurance Facility (AMEIF) was developed as a result of the mineral exploration industry being misunderstood by the general insurance market. The exploration industry was paying excessive premiums for inadequate cover.
Australia’s leading international insurer QBE Insurance Limited, was selected to partner with Strathearn and AMEC to provide an insurance solution for the industry.
The facility can provide cover for companies exploring for any/all mineral commodities including:
- Bulk sampling and trial mining
- Overseas operations
